Baramulla, Dec 24: In a significant enforcement action, Traffic Police Rural Kashmir on Wednesday traced and intercepted a chronic stunt biker in North Kashmir. The biker, identified as Musaib Maqbool Bhat of Shangargund Sopore, was apprehended by a special team of Traffic Police Rural Kashmir under the supervision of SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir, Ravinder Pal Singh, along with the DySP Traffic Baramulla–Kupwara.

The motorcycle used for performing dangerous stunts was seized under relevant provisions of law. Police said the biker was involved in repeated incidents of rash and negligent riding, posing a serious threat to public safety.

Following the action, a counselling session was conducted during which the biker was sensitized about the legal consequences of stunt riding and the negative influence such acts have on students and youth, particularly through the circulation of stunt videos on social media platforms.

Meanwhile, SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir has issued strict directions to all field officers to intensify enforcement drives aimed at curbing rash, negligent and stunt driving across the rural areas of Kashmir.

Traffic Police have once again appealed to motorists and parents not to hand over vehicles to minors, unlicensed drivers or stunt riders, warning that such negligence can lead to serious road accidents and loss of lives.
