Joint drive against traffic violations continue in Kulgam

Kulgam, Dec 15: A joint special drive conducted by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Traffic Mohd Aslam Qazigund Kulgam along DTI, all SOs and traffic teams continued against the violations in Qazigund Kulgam at various locations on Monday.

During the special drive, 126 vehicles were booked for various traffic offences and fined Rs 54800 on the spot.

A spokesman told INS that six vehicles were seized for not having proper documents.

This drive will continue in coming days as well, the officials said.

“Besides, challaning awareness was also part of our efforts to keep all with proper documents and follow traffic rules for the safety of vehicles owner, passengers and pedestrians to avoid any untoward incidents,” the statement reads.

The general public has been requested to follow traffic rules for their safety.
