3 JKAS officers relieved from Ladakh, asked to report to J&K GAD

Leh, Sep 18: The administration of Ladakh has ordered the relieving of three Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers from their duties in the Union Territory, directing them to report to the General Administration Department (GAD) of J&K for further posting.

An order issued by GAD Ladakh, Sandeep Singh, Under Secretary in the General Administration Department; Akshay Sharma, Under Secretary in Home & Vigilance Department; and Mohit Sharma, Under Secretary in Forest, Ecology & Environment, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Science & Technology, shall stand relieved with effect from September 25, 2025.

The order further states that Vivek Rattan, Under Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat, will be relieved as per the directions of the Lt Governor, while Rehmatullah Butt, Assistant Director in the Employment Department Leh, will be relieved on December 31, 2025.

From January 1, 2026, Anjil Singh will hold the additional charge of Assistant Director, Employment Department, replacing Butt. (KNC)
