Srinagar, Aug 21: An earthquake of magnitude 3.5 on the Richter scale struck Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday afternoon, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) said.

According to details, the tremor was recorded at 13:41:33 IST with latitude 34.68 N, longitude 74.39 E, and a depth of 5 kilometers.

The epicenter was located in Kupwara district, however, there were no immediate reports of any damage to property or loss of life. (KNC)
