Fahar Manzoor Baba Director General International Human Rights Commission Global – Republic of India, appealed to the Government of India and the Jammu & Kashmir administration to immediately mobilize all available resources, including emergency services, disaster response teams, and relief measures, to the affected area.

“Time is of the essence, and swift action is vital to saving lives and providing relief to the survivors,” he said.

“While the nation prepares to mark the 79th Independence Day, this calamity serves as a sobering reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of unity in times of crisis. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, the missing, and their families during this hour of grief,” he added.

“We urge every citizen to keep the people of Chositi in their prayers and to support relief efforts in every possible way. May those missing return safely to the comfort of their homes and loved ones,” he added.
