New Delhi, Jul 29: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday informed Parliament that all the three terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack earlier this year, have been killed in Operation Mahadev, carried out by security forces in Srinagar.

He said the operation was jointly conducted by the Army, Jammu and Kashmir, Police and the CRPF.

The slain terrorists—identified as Suliman, Afgan and Jibran—were all categorised as A-grade terrorists. “All three were Pakistani nationals. We have their voter card numbers and Pakistan-made chocolates were recovered from them,” he said.

Shah said Suliman, a commander of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, was involved in both the Pahalgam and Gagangeer attacks. “Security agencies have concrete evidence confirming his role,” he added.

He said the innocent tourists in Pahalgam were brutally killed in front of their family members after being asked about their religion.

He strongly condemned the attack and expressed condolences to the families, who lost their loved ones. He added that in retaliation to Operation Sindoor, Pakistan targeted civilian areas, resulting in injuries to several civilians and damage to religious places, including gurdwaras and temples.

Shah also expressed sympathy for those affected in the cross-border firing. (KNO)
