Srinagar, June 18: The Cabinet Sub-Committee (CSC) report on reservation was presented to the Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet during its meeting on Wednesday, sources said.
Sources said that the report was both presented and deliberated upon. While the panel’s specific recommendations remain undisclosed, officials within the J&K government acknowledged that reducing reservations in any category would be a challenging move—yet necessary to provide relief to general category candidates.
“The Cabinet is examining the procedure to rationalize the existing reservation system,” the sources added.
Sources said the issues of tourism revival and arrangements for upcoming Amarnath Yatra were also discussed in the meeting. (KNO)
