During the visit, SSP R. P. Singh, accompanied by DySP Traffic Anantnag Malik Idrees, Inspector Lalit Kumar, and Inspector Javaid Moori (DTIs), conducted a Traffic Awareness Programme at KP Chowk, Anantnag.

The event witnessed active participation from the general public and commuters.

The awareness programme focused on promoting road safety practices, especially the use of helmets and seat belts.

SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir emphasized the life-saving importance of wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers. As a part of the initiative, helmets were distributed among several two-wheeler riders, along with a briefing on responsible road behavior.

In his address, R. P. Singh made a strong appeal to parents and guardians, urging them not to allow minors to operate two-wheelers or other vehicles, highlighting the potential fatal consequences of such actions.

He further called upon the general public to strictly adhere to traffic rules, ensuring not only their own safety but also that of fellow citizens.
