Mufti Nazir Qasmi suffers heart attack, hospitalised

Srinagar, May 23: Prominent Islamic scholar and religious leader, Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi, suffered a heart attack earlier today and was urgently admitted to the ICU of Srinagar Hospital.

Reports said his condition is reported to be critical and is currently under intensive medical supervision.

According to a statement issued by Mohammad Iddress on behalf of Muft Nazir Ahmad Qasmi, public is being requested to offer special prayers for his speedy and complete recovery.

All scheduled religious and educational programs under his guidance have been temporarily suspended, he said.
