New Delhi, May 10: Terming Pakistan’s claim about India firing missiles towards Afghanistan as “frivolous and false” Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri on Saturday said that Afghanistan doesn’t need to be reminded which country has been bleeding and targeting them.

Addressing a special joint briefing here, Misri said, “Pakistan is trying to mislead the world by spreading misinformation. Don’t get misled.”

“Pakistan’s narrative is riddled with misinformation. The so-called claims about having destroyed Indian Air Force stations, including the S-400 system at Adampur, are completely fabricated. Our air defence systems remain fully operational, and no such incident has occurred.”

The Foreign Secretary said that Pakistan continues to target the civilian infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. “This morning Pakistan resorted to indiscriminate shelling in Rajouri killing an Additional District Development Commissioner and other civilians,” he said.

“These unprovoked actions—including shelling near religious places—are clear attempts to create division and panic within India. Let me assure you, they will not succeed,” Misri added. (KNO)
