Srinagar, Mar 30: The crescent for Shawwal month has been sighted in Jammu and Kashmir and Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated tomorrow (Monday), Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam said on Sunday.

The Grand Mufti said that enough witnesses for the sighting of Shawwal moon have been received from across J&K, marking the end of holy month of Ramadan.

He said that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated tomorrow across Jammu and Kashmir.

He also extended greetings to the Muslim Ummah, especially to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “May this auspicious occasion bring with it a lot of joy, happiness, peace and prosperity for all of us”, he said.
