3 militants, 2 soldiers killed as Shopian gunfight ends

Srinagar, Dec 2: Two Lashkar-e-Toiba militants were killed in a gunfight with joint team of police, CRPF and army in Chowgam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday.

“Two unidentified (militants) killed. Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition recovered. Search is going on,” police said in a tweet.

However a local news agency GNS quoting sources identified the duo as Sajad Ahmad Check from Braripora, Shopian and Raja Basit Nazir from Achan Pulwama.
