Jammu, Mar 21: The Chinar Eco Warriors marked the International Day of Forests with great enthusiasm at a special event organized by the State Forest Department in Jammu.

The event, designed as a mela, provided a platform for the unit to showcase its commendable efforts in greening the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

The event was inaugurated by Javed Ahmed Rana, Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, Government of J&K UT, who lauded the contributions of the Eco Warriors in environmental conservation.

The Chinar Eco Warriors, known for their dedicated afforestation and sustainability initiatives, presented their ongoing projects and achievements aimed at enhancing forest cover and promoting ecological balance in the region.

The event served as an opportunity to engage with the public, raise awareness about the importance of forests, and encourage community participation in conservation efforts.

The celebration aligned with the global theme of the International Day of Forests 2025, reinforcing the commitment of the J&K Forest Department and Chinar Eco Warriors to preserving the rich biodiversity of the region.
