DIG JKS Range reviews security in Kathua border areas

Jammu, Mar 12: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Jammu-Kathua-Samba (JKS) Range, Shiv Kumar, conducted visits in areas in Samba and Kathua.

He met with BSF officials, locals, VDGs and retired police and Army official.

SSP Samba, Dysp HQ Sumit Kumar SHO, IC PP Rajpura accompanied DIG during this visit.

He also reviwed the security of Kathua Distrct Border police post, Mukundpur, Kore punnu, Nagri and Bambyal areas .

Meanwhile, with regard to drug menace in Bari Brahmna, strict action was taken by SSP Samba, SDPO Bari Brahmna, SHO Bari Brahmna as more than 20 drug peddlers have been arrested and put behind the bars.

Such drives will continue in all Hotspot areas of Jammu Samba Kathua, the statement issued to INS reads and added that various teams have been constituted to conduct searches, raids and arrest the drug peddlers.
