Jammu, Mar 01: The government of Jammu and Kashmir has taken swift action against Joint Director Mining following serious allegations of illegal mining activities.

H.L. Langeh, Joint Director of Geology and Mining, Jammu, has been attached to the Administrative Department with immediate effect, and all his powers have been revoked pending further investigation.

The decision following the government’s drive against the Illegal Mining activities
and following communication from
the Personal Section of the Deputy Chief Minister .

In addition to Langeh’s attachment,the Director of Geology & Mining, J&K, has been directed to submit a comprehensive report detailing the complaints of illegal mining and disposal permits. This report will be crucial for further examination and appropriate action in the matter.

Langeh has been instructed to report to the Administrative Department without fail.
