DC Ramban inspects restoration work on NH-44

Ramban, Mar 1: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, along with SSP Ramban, Kulbir Singh, and SSP Traffic National Highway, Rohit Baskotra, inspected the restoration work on NH-44 from Ramban to Banihal following recent snowfall and rainfall across the district.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner directed executing agencies to accelerate maintenance work, ensuring hassle-free traffic movement at all identified vulnerable points. He emphasized swift restoration efforts, particularly at critical locations like Mehar, and issued necessary directives to ensure the smooth clearance of debris and uninterrupted vehicular movement.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the status of essential services and road connectivity in Banihal with SDM Banihal, Rizwan Asgar, and other officers. He instructed concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, while maintaining quality standards.

DC Ramban also urged the public to practice judicious use of water and electricity to help maintain consistent service delivery across the district.
