Srinagar, February 8: In a bid to empower the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, the Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU) Punjab on Saturday announced an exclusive partnership with Sabr Education Srinagar.
The partnership is aimed at equipping the youth of Jammu & Kashmir with market-ready, job-oriented university programs.
This strategic collaboration seeks to bridge the skill gap and enhance employment opportunities for students in the region. Addressing the press conference, Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura, Chancellor, Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab and Advisor National Skill Development Corporation, Govt of India, reiterated the university’s commitment to empowering J&K’s youth through skill-based education, reads a statement issued to INS.
Dr. Kaura emphasized that LTSU’s industry-driven programs, developed in collaboration with NSDC, cater to both recent Class 12 graduates and unemployed youth with degrees, offering them a pathway to meaningful employment.
He also highlighted LTSU’s commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for female students, noting that the university already has representation from 21 states across India. Additionally, he introduced LTSU’s innovative “payment after placement” model, which allows students to commence their education by paying half the tuition fee upfront, with the remaining amount payable after securing a job.
Dr. Kaura also announced that LTSU will host the 54th National Convention of ISTE and Yuva Kaushal, a flagship initiative of the university.
The event is scheduled on February 13-14, 2025, at the university campus and will be graced by the Governor of Punjab as the Chief Guest. Other esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. V.K. Paul (NITI Aayog Member – PMO), the Education Minister of Punjab, AICTE Chairman, NAAC Chairman, and other prominent leaders in India’s education sector, will also be in attendance.
As a gesture of appreciation, Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura and Mehran Reshi Managing Director of SAbr Education, presented awards to outstanding school principals, hospitals, police officers, and individuals who have made significant contributions to education and healthcare in Jammu & Kashmir.
This partnership marks a transformative step towards skill development and career readiness for J&K’s youth, reinforcing LTSU’s mission to bridge the gap between education and employment.
The press conference was attended by senior officials from LTSU, including Vimal K. Manhotra, Director of Finance and Strategic Initiatives, and Satbir Singh Bajwa, Joint Registrar.
