Srinagar, Jan 30: The crescent of the month of Shabaan has been sighted, and the first shabaan will be on 31st January.

Grand Mufti J&K, Nasir-ur-Islam, told JKNS the sighting of the crescent and officially announced the date of 1st Shabaan as 31st of January.

“The crescent has been sighted, we have received witness of the crecent sightings”, Mufti Nasir said.

The holy night of Shab-e-Baraat holds great significance for Muslims, as it is a time of prayer, seeking forgiveness, and reflecting on one’s deeds.
