Police conducts searches in terror related case in Rajouri at 25 locations

Rajouri, Jan 29: Rajouri Police on Wednesday conducted searches at 25 locations in a terror related case across district Rajouri.

Police in a statement said that on the strength of warrant received from honourable NIA Court, Rajouri Police conducted extensive searches at 25 locations across the district including Rajouri, Naushera, Thanamandi, Dharhal, Koteranka, Budhal, Manjakot and Chingus on 29th January 2025.

Police said that these searches were conducted as a part of investigation linked to a Case FIR No. 447/2024 registered at Police Station Rajouri.

This case pertain to a terrorist network active in Rajouri which with the connivance of proscribed terrorist organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has been working to activate overground workers (OGWs) in Jammu and Kashmir to oldinitiate, organize and execute terror-related activities.

During the Searches, incriminating material and important documents were recovered and seized, police said.
