The Forum has urged the UT Government to take immediate steps to impose a complete ban on online gambling platforms and to introduce reforms in loan and subsidy schemes to empower the youth.

In its statement, JKCSF highlighted the devastating impact of online gambling on families across the region.

It noted that the lure of quick money has led many young individuals into financial ruin, pushing them into depression and harming their families.

Chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani stated, “Online gambling is not just an individual problem; it is a societal crisis that demands urgent action. We appeal to the government to ban these platforms and save our youth from this destructive path.”

The Forum also pointed out that restrictive and tedious loan procedures are forcing many young people to look for easy money through gambling.

JKCSF called on the government to simplify and relax self-help loan schemes, making entrepreneurship and business opportunities more accessible to the youth. Wani added, “By enabling young entrepreneurs, we can redirect their energies toward productive and sustainable ventures, paving the way for a better future.”
