PHC Hawal Pulwama lacks dentist, lab assistant; people suffer

Pulwama: Due to shortage of dental doctor and laboratory assistant at the Primary Health Centre Hawal, Pulwama in south Kashmir, the people of the area suffer a lot.
“There was a doctor and laboratory assistant available at the centre but last month due to some unknown reasons, they were transferred one by one,” a resident Mohammad Salim told INS.
Locals said no replacement was done after the transfer.
Block Medical Officer Rajpora, Dr Javeed while acknowledging the shortage of staff at the PHC said the issue has been taken with the higher ups.
“We will be placing a dental doctor and a laboratory assistant at the PHC, Hawal next week,” he said.
