Speaking with reporters after visiting the village, Omar Abdullah, as per KNO, said that the government’s priority is to stop this cycle of deaths and that it should not go beyond 17.

He said that the day they got the information, health along with other departments has been working to understand the cause behind these deaths. “Tests were done, and we reached the conclusion that there was no bacteria or virus that caused these deaths,” he said.

He added that all these deaths have taken place in three families. “But, we are yet to find the reason behind these deaths. Since it’s not a disease, Police are also involved in it and they have formed a team to investigate the matter. Central government team is also there, and together we will look into the reason behind these deaths,” the chief minister said.
