Kulgam, Dec 13: As part of a major crackdown on terrorism, the Kulgam Police have attached a single-storied residential house under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA).
The property, spanning 10 marlas and registered in the name of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Akbar Bhat, is located in Chenigam, Frisal, a police spokesman said.
“This action is connected to case FIR No. 53/2024 of Police Station Yaripora and involves a property where four terrorists were neutralized on July 6, 2024. The attachment was carried out in the presence of a police team and an Executive Magistrate to ensure adherence to legal protocols,” he said.
It reads as, the move marks a significant step in the district’s efforts to counter unlawful and subversive activities. Kulgam Police have reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding national security and ensuring peace in the region.
