Mirpur POJK refugees Balidan Divas observed in New Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 02: Balidan Divas in memory of massacred Mirpur residents in November 1947 was observed at Mirpur Balidn Bhawan, Lajpat Nagar New Delhi on Monday.

Organised by JK people’s Forum, hundreds of POJK refugees took part in the event.

As per a statement issued to INS, the floral tributes were paid at the samadhi of massacred that stands tall inside the Bhawan.

Notable speakers present were Sunil Sethi Sr. Advocate, Arvind Gupta MLA, Retd. Justice Anil Dev Gupta, Retd. Registrar General Bharat Bhushan, Retd Justice Delhi HC Vidya Bhushan Gupta and Mahinder Mehta Convenor of JKPF.

Ravinder Pandita, newly elected president of AIKS (All India Kashmiri Samaj) was also felicitated on the occasion.

The speakers stressed the need for preservation of Mirpuri culture and mother language.
