YS&S dept organizes cycling championship, GVEI students demonstrate exceptional performance

Srinagar, Oct 24: Department of Youth Services and Sports in Budgam hosted the UT Level Inter District Cycling Championship for Boys and Girls in the under 17 and under 19 categories.

The event took place along the scenic route from Holy Mission High School Narbal to Kunzer Park in which the athletes from various districs of Jammu and Kashmir participated.

The event was flagged off by the Chief Guests, Abdul Ahad Wani, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Narbal and Mursaleen, Principal of Holy Mission High School Narbal.

Guests of Honour included Ghulam Nabi Reshi, international SKI instructor, and Dr. Mohammad akbar khan, international cyclist.

The championship also saw the presence of Shakeel-ur-Rehman, Incharge activity DYSSO Budgam and Bashir Ahmad Sheikh, Incharge Activity Zone Narbal.

Meanwhile, among the girls under-19 category, the first position (gold) was bagged by Soliha Zahoor (GVEI).

Green Valley education Institute (GVEI) students demonstrated exceptional performance in the recent U-19 cycling race organised by the District Youth services and sports Officers.
