GVEI inaugurates Mathematics Innovators Expo-2024

Srinagar, Sep 26: The Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI) on Thursday inaugurated the Mathematics Innovators Expo 2024.

The three-day event is designed to inspire mathematical creativity and innovation among students. The event commenced with an opening ceremony presided over by Head of the Department of Mathematics at Kashmir University, Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad Khanday. He officially inaugurated the expo.

The inaugural ceremony featured an impressive model exhibition, where students from various esteemed institutions presented innovative mathematical models.

The students from Hilltop Educational Institute, Government Boys Higher Secondary School (Soura), Government Girls Higher Secondary School (Zadibal), Islamia Higher Secondary School, Delhi Public School (Srinagar and Budgam), RP School (Mala Bagh), Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute, Government Higher Secondary School Hazratbal, Dolphin International School, Radiant Public School (Anantnag), and Foundation World School, Tyndale Biscoe and Mallinson Girls School participated in the event.

The models were evaluated by a distinguished panel comprising Prof. Dr. Saad Parvez and Prof. Abrar Ahmad from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar.

The second day of the conference will feature additional programs, including a mathematics quiz, while the event will conclude with a panel discussion featuring mathematics educators from various districts.

“The final day will also include the felicitation of students and participants for their exceptional performances in both the model exhibition and the quiz program,” the handout reads.

GVEI Mohammed Yusuf Wani congratulated all the participating schools for their involvement.

He emphasized that GVEI is committed to fostering the intellectual growth of students, encouraging their exploration of innovative ideas.

“Our institution will continue to nurture young minds, guiding them toward academic and creative excellence,” Wani said.
