Jammu, Sep 22: Alert troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) Sunday foiled an infiltration bid, recovering a large cache of arms and ammunition along the international border in the RS Pura sector of Jammu, officials said.

Officials told KNO that, “In the intervening night of September 21-22, 2024, vigilant BSF troops noticed suspicious movement, where an intruder was observed approaching the BSF fence in the RS Pura border area. The alert troops thwarted the infiltration attempt.”

They said that a thorough search was carried out at first light, and the following items were recovered so far: 2 Pistols; 4 Magazines; 20 rounds of 9 mm ammunition; 1 AK-47 rifle; 2 AK-47 magazines; 17 rounds of AK-47 ammunition.
