Will provide 1 lakh jobs to youth if elected to power: Omar in Kulgam’s Devsar

Kulgam, Sep 13: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah on Friday addressed election rally at Chowgam area of Devsar in south kashmiri’s Kulgam district.

Addressing the gatherings, Omar said, “It is necessary to reject the self-interested people who are aiding BJP in undermining the special position of Jammu and Kashmir. We are not after power, we want the voices of our people to be heard in offices. We want their fundamental rights to be protected. Power for us is a means to serve people and uphold their rights.”

“If the National Conference is voted to power, we will provide 1 lakh jobs to the youth of J&K and pass the J&K Youth Employment Generation Act within three months of forming the Government.”

He further promised key initiatives, including the provision of 12 LPG cylinders free of cost annually for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)”, he said.

The programmes were organised by party candidate for Devsar assembly seat, Peerzada Feroze Ahmad Shah. On this occasion, NC’s treasurer Shammi oberoi, senior national Conference leader and party candidate for DH Pora, Sakina Itoo, NC youth leader Imran Nabi dar were also present. (Agencies)
