MeT predicts rain, thunderstorm till tomorrow

“Today, rain showers can occur in many areas of Jammu and Kashmir, especially in Kashmir region,” a private weather forecaster said, adding that the intensity overall will be higher in north Kashmir parts (particularly Kupwara) compared to other parts.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall, he said, adding that due to lower temperatures, light snowfall can occur over extreme higher reaches (elevation > 4000 m).

Intense showers and cloudbursts can’t be ruled out, he said, adding that except for a few parts, mostly dry weather is expected tomorrow.
