Srinagar, Aug 27: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates from Anantnag, Pulwama and Shopian filed their nominations for J&K assembly elections on Tuesday in presence of the party’s National Executive Member and senior party leader Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi.

Mohammad Rafiq Wani filed nominations for Anantnag West, Advocate Syed Wajahat for Anantnag, Javed Ahmad Qadiri for Shopian & Arshid Bhat for Rajpora) in Pulwama, a statement issued here reads.

Dr Darakhshan and the candidates were taken to the returning offices in huge processions in which people participated in large numbers.

“BJP manifesto will be released within a few days. BJP manifesto will be people’s vision document and we will implement this agenda in letter and spirit,” said Dr Andrabi while speaking to the media.

She said that the candidates have served their respective areas for years and people have trust in the party to which they belong.

“BJP has given shape to a new political order in J&K and now there is least scope for sentimental exploitation of the people by politicians, People now aspire for a peaceful and progressive life and BJP only has a clear cut roadmap related to people’s progress and development. During the past five years, we have shown unprecedented transformation at the ground level in J&K under Prime Minister Modiji’s leadership,” Andrabi said.
