Srinagar, Aug 22: District Election Office Srinagar has set up a single window permission system as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India for the upcoming assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir.

An official told KNO that keeping in view the guidelines of the poll body, district election officer Srinagar has set up a single window permission system for everyone’s ease, including the political parties.

He said that the system has been set up to seek permission for various election related activities, while a nodal officer has also been designated for the same.

Under this system, candidates and political parties can submit permission applications for various election related activities under a single window, he said.

The official said that there is no need to seek submit permission applications to different departments separately, as under the single window system application can submitted at once place.

Assembly election in J&K are scheduled to be held in three phases, with first phase being held on September 18, second on September 25 and third phase on October 1. The results will be declared on October 4.
