Srinagar, Jul 06: An army trooper who was injured in intial exchange of fire in Kulgam succumbed to his injuries in a hospital on Saturday.

A top police officer told GNS that during intial exchange of fire one army soldier who was critically injured succumbed to his injuries in a hospital.

Earlier, a exchange of fire took place between militants and security in Mudergham area of Kulgam after a specific input was recieved by the security forces.

Till this report was being filed operation was still underway in the area.
