Srinagar, Jul 02: The government on Tuesday constituted Governing Body for Jammu & Kashmir Society for Social Audit Accountability & Transparency (JKSSAAT).

With Ravi Kesar, IFS, PCCF (Retired) as chairman, the 11-member Body has been to oversee the performance of the Unit on a periodic basis and provide advice and direction to the Unit.

It has also been asked to approve the annual budget and annual calendar of SAU, discuss and adopt the annual report prepared by SAU, according to an order.

The members of the Body include Principal Accountant General, C&AG, J&K, Administrative Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Dr. C. Dheeraja, Professor, Head I/c Centre for Social Audit, NIRDPR, Rajendra Nagar, Telengana, Dr. Reva Sharma, Professor & Head, Center for Rural Development & PR, IMPARD, J&K, Dr. Mohmad Ishaq Wani (Director General, Accounts & Treasuries, J&K, Retired), Sudesh Kumar Sharma (Professor, Retired) and Indu Kilam (Professor, Retired), Representative of School Education Department (not below Special Invitee the rank of Additional Secretary), Representative of Social Welfare Department (not below the Special Invitee rank of Additional Secretary) and Smt. Shafia Naqshbandi, Director Social Audit Unit, J&K.
