The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss and deliberate on the current industrial scenario in the valley with a particular focus on the challenges being faced by the electrical equipments manufacturing sector following the recent shift in industrial policy by the UT Government, a statement issued here reads.

The members also opined that if the government does not address the issues faced by the existing units the units already under stress will close down adding to the unemployment scenario in the state.

The members were urged to send their suggestions to the President and the issues will be made public through a press briefing and will also be taken up with the authorities at the highest level.
