Gunfight in Bandipora, militant body sighted

Srinagar, Jun 17: An unidentified militant has been killed after a gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Aragam area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Confirming to GNS, a top police officer said that a gunfight broke out this morning on a specific input recieved by police and security forces.

During firefight one militant has been killed whose body can be seen lying from a distance. The identity of the slain militant is being ascertained, the officer added.

Till this report was being filed the operation in the area was still underway.
