Srinagar, Jun 03: Department of Physical Education and Sports of Islamic Global School, Padshahi Bagh, Srinagar Monday hosted an exhilarating Inter-School Cycling Championship.
As per a statement issued to INS, the event, tailored for students from 3rd to 7th grade, aimed at fostering a culture of fitness, camaraderie, and sportsmanship among young learners.
Under the esteemed patronage of the Principal of Islamic Global School, Urooj Qadiri, the race flagged off at 6:00 AM, from Nehru Park to Botanical Garden, Srinagar.
Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, vice-President of Jammu and Kashmir Cycling Association, was chief guest on the occasion.
Alongside distinguished presence of Ms Qadiri, supervisors Tanveer Ahmad, Arusha, the Head of the Physical Education Department, Waseem Raja and all the officials of Islamic Global school added prestige to the event.
