Srinagar, May 18: In another militant attack, one former Sarpanch was shot dead by militants in Hurpora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday evening.

A top police officer told GNS that this evening militants fired upon former Sarpanch namely Ajaz Ahmad Sheikh from a close range.

He was immediately shifted to nearby hospital for advanced treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
