The most pathetic part of our society is that we keep associating our aims with the kids once they are born. We least bother about their interests and potential. We mostly want our kids to be doctors or engineers. We have every right to dream about the beautiful careers of our kids but for this we need to know our kids. What they possess their IQ, interests and their own dreams about their future.
Most of the parents spend their hard earned money on the education of their wards without introspection about its results. We are not managing but mismanaging.
There is a mad race of enrolling the kids in the reputed and expensive coaching centres of the country but how many parents get the fruits of their investment, obviously a negligible percentage. We need to assess and evaluate our kids and after that we should invest accordingly.
If my ward can be better public servant then what is the need of science, let him know and understand the society through humanities, if he loves nature let he be involved with literature in order to understand and know the life, if he is having mechanical intelligence let he pursue engineering and so on.
As parents we should know our wards,
What is prevalent in society is pathetic once a student passes his tenth standard. He directly gets landed in the science coaching centres as his parents has already dreamt about it.
He might have hardly passed his science subjects but still he has to be enrolled in these coaching centres as it is the mad race.
This mad rush is the result of mushroom growth of coaching shops thousands and thousands gets enrolled and how many gets selected is the question. We must utilise our resources as per the potential and interest of our wards other wise it is just the wastage of time and money.
If we have a look what these coaching centres have contributed towards society lot of immorality.
They least bother about the values, norms and the rest of the things, their main business is to get maximum number of students.
We need to guide and counsel our students regarding their career options. Government should come with the counselling centres where not only students should be counselled but parents too should be given knowledge and awareness about the same.
Let our wards pursue their own dreams and aspirations inorder to make this society the hub of intellectual. Let capable Human Resources manage their own endeavours.
