Srinagar, May 05: Body of a man from Sopore, who was missing since April 26 from Maisuma, was recovered from river Jhelum near Veer Chattabal area of Srinagar today morning, officials said.

An official told KNO that the man has been identified as Irshad Ahmad Mir of Sopore, who was missing since April 26.

He added that the said the man was missing from Maisuma area of Srinagar and was identified by his family after the body was recovered from Jhelum today.

Earlier reports suggested that the body was of Srinagar man, who drowned after a boat capsized in river Jhelum near Gandabal area of Srinagar last month.
