The decision has been taken in view of the prevailing weather conditions as the fresh rainfall has led to the increase in the water level in all the water bodies here.

Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, said that all the schools will remain closed in Kashmir on tomorrow.

However, the teaching and non-teaching staff will have to attend their schools tomorrow.

Pertinently, Kashmir parts received fresh snowfall while the rains lashed maximum areas for the last couple of days, leading to the flood-like situation in many areas.

The weather conditions are expected to improve from late tonight while a fresh spell of light rains are expected tomorrow as well.

However, the weatherman has predicted the dry weather conditions from May 01-May 05.
