LeT module busted, 4 aides arrested in Kulgam: Police

Kulgam, Feb 25: Police on Sunday said to have busted a Lashkar-e-Toiba module by arresting its four militant associates in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

In a statement issued to INS, the police said that in case FIR no 14/2024 U/S 13, 18, 39 UA(P) act registered at police station Qaimoh Kulgam, Kulgam Police along with 1RR and 18 BN CRPF arrested four terrorist associates and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.

According to police spokesman, They have been identified as Zahoor Ahmad Pandit S/O Abdul Gani Pandit, Basir Hussain Pandit S/O Farooq Ahmad Pandit, Imtiyaz Gull S/O Gull Mohd Bhat and Gulzar Ahmad Khar S/O Ghulam Mohd Khar all the residents of Wanpora.

From their possession 1 Pistol, 2 Pistol Magazine, 20 rounds of Pistol rounds, 4 UBGs, and 24 rounds of INSAS have been recovered.

Further investigation is going on as more arrests and recoveries are expected in the case, reads the statement.
