Srinagar, Feb 22: A skier was killed while seven others including a local were rescued after an avalanche hit Affarwat peak at famous ski-resort, Gulmarg on Thursday afternoon.

A massive rescue operation was launched soon after an avalanche hit Khilan Marg on Affarwat peak.

They said that seven foreign skiers and a local were trapped in the avalanche.

“The body of one skier was recovered while seven others were rescued during the rescue operation,” the official said.
