BJP leader and Party General Secretary Sunil Sharma welcomed scores of new entrants that include NC and PDP workers into the BJP fold.

The BJP organised a mega party convention at Khonmoh area of Srinagar today, in which thousands of people including women, elderly, youth and children participated besides those who are affiliated with the party.

The BJP workers renewed their pledge to strengthen the party at the grassroots level ahead of the upcoming Panchayat and Parliamentary polls in the UT.

Speaking on the occasion, DDC member for Khonmoh, Er Aijaz Hussain said that today’s gathering is proof that people have decided to be part of BJP and to strengthen it further as the party believes in clean politics and doesn’t make hollow promises.

“In our party, we are for the poor and respect the poor lot more than anyone else. We love our poor workers who have come here today to participate in this mega program and to renew their pledge to strengthen the party on all fronts. Poor people are our strengthen as we will never backstab them like others have done in the past,” the BJP leader said as the crowd responded with the pro-Er Aijaz slogan.

Er Aijaz said that he will never make any promise that can’t be fulfilled. “I assure you all that your hard work will never go to waste. You are BJP’s strength and we will work together for the party’s success,” Er Aijaz said.

In his address, BJP J&K General Secretary Sunil Sharma hailed Er Aijaz stating that the young leader is full of talent and that he enjoys mass support.

“BJP will work for all sections of the society and ensure that issues of every single citizen of J&K are addressed on priority,” he said, adding that “we don’t believe in the politics of deceit and hence want to keep the flock together irrespective of cast, colour, creed and sex.”

Amid massive pro-BJP sloganeering, scores of NC and PDP workers joined BJP in presence of Er Aijaz and Sunil Sharma.

The new entrants were welcomed by the BJP leader Er Aijaz and Sunil Sharma. Those who joined included women and youth who stated that they were inspired by the Prime Minister Narendera Modi’s vision and mission towards J&K.
