Case registered, tempo seized for overloading in Poonch

Poonch, Jan 31: Authorities in Surankote Poonch on Wednesday filed a case against the tempo driver for allegedly indulging in stunt driving and overloading.

According to the INS, a case under FOR number 0019 under section 279,336 IPC has been registered against a tempo driver who was carrying 23 passengers in tempo which is against the permit conditions and also registration certificate norms.

Only 13 to 14 passengers are allowed in tempo.

The vehicle was later seized by local police on the spot and also two vehicles have been blacklisted due to stunt and dangerous driving, pictures of whose also went viral on the social media platform.

Traffic Rural Rajouri-Poonch Police have appealed people not to indulge in stunt driving and overloading of passengers.

Pertinently, the special in this regard was launched by SO ASI Mahroof and DTI Poonch Insp. Kapil Manhas under the supervision of Dysp Nawaz Choudhary along with MVD Poonch.
