Srinagar, Jan 19: Continuing the awareness drive & to ensure safety and security of the passengers travelling on National Highway, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic National Highway Rohit Baskotra Friday organised an interaction cum awareness program at Battery Chashma on NH44 in which a number of drivers and commuters participated.

Speaking on the occasion, SSP Rohit aware the drivers about different road safety related issues and appealed them to follow Motor Vehicle Act and traffic related rules which are prerequisite for the safety and security of the passengers.

SSP also stressed that passengers should also be aware about the duties of the drivers and advise them to be the eyes and ears of Traffic Police.

They were appealed to come forward to complain against all types of visible traffic violations on traffic helpline numbers- 9419993745- 9906023617

Among other officers ARTO Ramban Samrinder Jamwal KAS were also present on the occasion and guide the drivers about traffic rules.

Program ended with pledge on road safety 2024 to follow traffic safety rules, follow motor vehicle Act and to ensure the safety of lives of innocent people on road.
