Relationship between immunity and overtraining

The immune system provides a line of defence against invading bacteria,parasites viruses and tumor cells. This system depends on the actions of specialised cells such as Lymphocytes,granulocytes, Macrophages and antibodies.

These primarily eliminate or neutralise foreign invaders that might cause illness (pathogens). Unfortunately one of most serious consequences of OVERTRAINING is the negative effect it has on the body’s immune system.

Recent studies confirm that excessive training leads overtraining syndrome ultimately suppress normal immune function.

Overtraining syndrome appears to be associated with depressed immune function as a result will lead increased risk for infection and disease.

It is mandatory to understand wht exersise prescription has a role for every individual as per his body status needs to be prescribed.

Conclusion: When you do exercise understand your limit and do not overtrain your body. Enjoy your exercises as per your limit otherwise face overtraining syndrome.
