SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir conducts special drive along NH

Srinagar, Jan 1: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Rural Kashmir, Ravinder Pal Singh alongwith DYSP Traffic Pulwama-Shopian conducted a special drive at Galendar NH44 on Monday.

As per an official communiqué issued to INS, more than hundred challans were executed against traffic violators as per the provisions of MV Act.

Challans were executed in various offences including over height, over length by Goods carriers, without insurance, without fitness, excess passengers, without HSRP, triple riding, without helmet, dangerous driving and overloading offences.

On spot counselling of drivers and commuters regarding strict compliance of traffic rules, regulations and safety measures was carried out.

The special drive against traffic violators at national highway NH 44 is a part of the continuous process to enforce traffic law, ensure safety and avoid fatal accidents to save precious lives.
