Comrade K.D. Sethi, a stalwart in the annals of Indian revolutionary history, left an indelible mark as a communist leader. Born on this day, we gather to commemorate his life and ideals, recognizing his profound impact on the political landscape, a statement issued to INS reads.

Sethi’s commitment to revolutionary principles was unwavering, and his influence extended beyond regional boundaries. As a torchbearer of communist ideology, he played a pivotal role in shaping the political discourse, inspiring not only comrades but a generation of activists who looked up to his visionary leadership, the statement said.

“His dedication to the cause of the working class and marginalized communities became a guiding light for many. Comrade Sethi’s revolutionary spirit found expression in his tireless efforts to challenge oppressive structures and advocate for social justice. His legacy endures through the principles he championed, which remain relevant in our ongoing struggle for a more equitable society,” it added.

The J&K Democratic Conference’s initiative to celebrate Comrade Sethi’s birthday in Bishnah reflects the continued resonance of his ideas. This gathering provides an opportunity to reflect on the path he paved and the challenges he confronted. It is a moment to reaffirm our commitment to the ideals of communism and the pursuit of a society free from exploitation and inequality.

“As we honor Comrade K.D. Sethi, let us draw inspiration from his courage, resilience, and unyielding commitment to a just and egalitarian world. May his legacy continue to fuel the flames of activism, guiding us in our collective journey towards a society that embodies the true spirit of equality, justice, and fraternity,” it added.
