15 Corps Commander visits Teetwal, inaugurates Vegetarian eatery

Teetwal, Nov 21: Commander 15 Corps Badami Bagh Cantonment, Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai Tuesday visited Crossing Point along Line of Control (LoC) Teetwal.

As per a statement issued to INS, the 15 Corps Commander also threw open to public a Vegetarian Eatery meant for vegetarian food lovers, who throng Sharda Temple and other places around Teetwal.

Besides, GoC 28 Infantry Kupwara Girish Kalia, 104 Brigade Commander Kumara Das and thousands of locals & Children were present on the occasion.

On this occasion, a 104 ft high Indian flag was erected and unfurled right on LoC.

Sharda Yatra Construction Committee members Ajaz Khan & others were also present on the occasion.

Ravinder Pandita Head & Founder of Save Sharda Committee thanked Army for setting up of the vegetarian eatery.

“This will not only cater to yatris of Sharda temple but to the locals also in general” said Ravinder Pandita.

A colourful event marked the event and Tiranga Cricket tournament was also started at Shan-e-Teetwal cricket ground, the statement added.
