“I want to apprise rulers of J&K, who in my opinion, are not conversant with the Trade Union Rules and Regulations which are
Governed by the Constitution of India,” the General Secretary, Kabla Singh said in a statement issued here.

“I also invite the attention of Govt. towards the rights of working Class which were enacted by the Cruel British Govt. in India somewhere in 1926. The action of the UT Govt. is unconstitutional, undemocratic
and harmful to the employees which are the main functionary to run the Government smoothly,” Singh said.

He said they are agitating against the government’s policies such as non-payment of hard earned G.P. Fund in time, salary in time, regulations of Daily Wagers who are serving the public ranging between 10-15 years and other related benefits like
Medical allowances, Dearness Allowances and conduct of DPC in time as per service rules.

It appears that the attitude of the Government is against the public in general, government employees in particular, he added.

“This is established from the banning of legitimate, constitutional and the democratic rights of the employees,” he said.

He added that the employees do not resort to go on strike, agitation but they are forced by the circumstances created by the government to take such step and press for their genuine demands.
